Piedmont Tech Prepared to Help Displaced Students

Like many in the higher education community, officials at Piedmont Technical College (PTC) heard the news about Virginia College closing and expressed concern for the students who were impacted. Students affected by the closures are invited to inquire about opportunities to continue their education at Piedmont Technical College. Spring Classes begin at PTC on January 9, and registration is open now.

“There are options available to currently enrolled Virginia College students who will be impacted by this sudden closure,” said Joshua Black, PTC vice president for student affairs and communications. “We know that this kind of news is unwelcome at this or any other time of year. Our staff will make every effort to assist anyone who wants to continue their education at PTC.”

PTC staff are prepared to explain available options and answer questions. Students who have been affected by the Virginia College closing and would like to discuss their prospects should call Jalissa Adger, assistant director of admissions, at (864) 941-8749.
