Piedmont Technical College president Dr. Ray Brooks, back right, honored six community leaders and college associates with the Presidential Medallion, the institution’s most prestigious award, at PTC’s recent commencement exercises. Pictured with Brooks accepting the Presidential Medallions were, front from left, Mike Pitts, District 14 representative; Carolyn Kelley, administrative specialist at PTC; and Dianne Partlow, financial aid counselor at PTC. Back, Rufus Sherard, Area Commission Abbeville County; Brad Forrest, PTC Foundation board member; Mo Scott, retired PTC Foundation board member; and Brooks. Instituted in 1991 during the college’s silver anniversary celebration, the medallions recognize individuals who have made significant contributions toward excellence in education.
