Summer Graduation County Award Winners Announced

At Piedmont Technical College’s recent summer commencement exercises, outstanding students from each of the college’s seven supporting counties were honored for academic achievement. 

Abbeville County graduate Jessica Bowie, left, was honored for maintaining high academic success. She was recognized by PTC Area Commissioner Rufus Sherard. Bowie received an associate in general tecjhnology, advertising design with photography concentration.

Greenwood County graduates Evianna Casado, left, and Haylee Weeks, right, were honored for maintaining high academic success. They were recognized by PTC Area Commissioner Dr. George Cone, center. Casado received her diploma in applied science, pharmacy technology major, and Weeks received her diploma in applied science, medical assisting major. 

Laurens County graduates Lucky Joe Maroney, far left, Joan Pittman, 2nd from left, Anayeli Juan Santiago, 2nd from right, and Daniel Ngov, far right, were honored for maintaining high academic success. They were recognized by PTC Area Commissioner Richard Cain, center. Maroney received an associate in electronic engineering technology. Pittman received an associate in administrative office technology. Santiago received an associate in business administration. Ngov received an associate in science degree.  

McCormick County graduate Steven Parsons, left, who graduated with an associate in general technology, welding concentration, was honored for maintaining high academic success. He was recognized by PTC Area Commissioner George Piersol. 

Edgefield County graduate Rachael Young, left, was honored for maintaining high academic success. She was recognized by PTC Area Commissioner Y.J. Ahn. Young received a horticulture degree. 

Saluda County graduate Willette Wright, left, was honored for maintaining high academic success. She was recognized by PTC Area Commissioner Bill Whitfield. Wright received an associate in administrative office technology.
