Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma and three (3) years experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate's degree or bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Basic to moderately complex knowledge of capabilities, and intricacies of systems and applications. Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex to complex technical and non-technical instructions and requests. Ability to analyze and convert moderately complex to complex technical instructions to materials that can be understood by non-technical personnel. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors and other IT personnel. Ability to provide status reports and other technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to use problem management database and help desk systems. Must be able to lift and transport heavy communications/electronics equipment (50 lbs minimum) from remote campus buildings to the designated equipment repair laboratory or to off-campus locations; must have the ability to recognize and recall wiring color code schemes; must be mobile and have the ability to carry/climb ladders to work on data/telephone cabling.

Job Description:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the ITT- Information Technology department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.

Responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading, replacing and repairing mobile and desktop PC's. Provide front line daily user support of desktop and audio/visual issues and interfaces with customers daily. Troubleshoots and restores service by analyzing, identifying and diagnosing faults and symptoms using established processes and procedures. Monitors and responds to help/service tickets to assist faculty/staff/OIT in incidents, requests, and projects.



Troubleshoots, installs, maintains, repairs, and upgrades audiovisual equipment college wide. Install audio/visual equipment using appropriate tools such as hand tools, ladders, drills, etc. Troubleshoots basic user errors in systems and finds resolutions. Works with vendors and other technical staff to resolve technical issues. Maintains accurate/up-to-date documentation on all work orders performed.Responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading, replacing and repairing mobile and desktop PC's.
