Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field and 5 years work experience in Mechatronics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-Experience teaching Mechatronics classes

-Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Experience with various Mechatronics software (i.e. RSLogix) and hardware (i.e. PLC-5, SLC-500, and controllers)
-Hands on experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley controllers

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Mechatronics department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:

-Instruction Management: Provide instruction to assigned classes in accordance with college and divisional policies. Prepare lectures and syllabi, prepare and grade tests, and advise students on academic progress.

-Instructional Development: Collaborate and provide support to the department head and program coordinator to develop and implement strategies to improve retention and success. Assist in course development and text book selection.

-Recruitment/Public Relations: Support recruiting activities that promote the careers available to MEC graduates. Serve on college committees and assist in the coordination of internships, apprenticeships, and service learning activities with the Experiential Learning Office as assigned.

-Facilities Management: Ensure proper security of equipment and supplies and maintain facilities in a safe, functional, and presentable condition that supports collaboration and learning.

-Other duties as assigned.
