PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Experience writing structured web-based code (HTML5, CSS3, jscript, jquery, .net, etc.) for web site and page maintenance.
-Experience utilizing development software and web content management systems (wcms) to create and update web sites and pages and implement bootstrap templates.
-Extensive experience providing technical assistance and expertise to customers.
-Working knowledge of web content management systems, web server management, website template implementation, development, and management, webform development, implementation, and management, and a working knowledge of SEO optimization.
-Ability to organize and work on multiple projects under deadlines.
-Ability to stay current with web-coding tools and methods to ensure compliance with web standards and industry best practices.
-Works well in both team and individual settings.

Job Description:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will support the Office of Information Technology at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
-Performs day-to-day maintenance of web sites and pages, assuming optimum functionality of college web sites, pages, forms, SEO, and other college web solutions.
-Analyzes, develops, and modifies web-based programs of a complex nature. Writes structured web-based code (HTML5, CSS3, jscript, jquery, .net, etc.) for ease of maintenance and improved performance. Utilizes development software and a CMS management system to update and create web sites and pages. Keeps current with web-coding tools and methods to ensure compliance with web standards and industry best practices.
-Provides technical support in the implementation and modification of college web sites, pages, forms, SEO, and CMS system.
-Provides technical assistance and expertise to college employees and departments for the college websites and web tools.
-Performs other related duties, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma and 4 yrs. experience in computer system development and modification. An associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience on a year for year basis.
