Requirements:

A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND SIX (6) YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT,
PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, OR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES; OR AN APPROVED ACCEPTABLE
EQUIVALENCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE HUMAN RESOURCES REGULATIONS. A BACHELOR'S
DEGREE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR FOUR (4) YEARS OF THE REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE OR A TWO
YEAR DEGREE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR TWO (2) YEARS OF REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE.
EXPERIENCE WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK, ACCESS, AND
PUBLISHER).

Job Description:

APPLIES GRAMMATICAL RULES, CLERICAL FORMATS AND/OR JOURNALISTIC PRINCIPLES WHEN
COORDINATING GENERAL ADMINISTRATIVE, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND/OR SUPPORT ACTIVITIES,
INCLUDING GUEST RECEPTION. PERFORMS OR SUPERVISES THE ACTIVITIES RELATED TO FISCAL
MANAGEMENT, PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT, PROCUREMENT, SUPPLY SERVICES, AUXILIARY SERVICES,
ETC. DEVELOPS AND MONITORS COMPLIANCE WITH ANNUAL BUDGETS; CONSULTS WITH PROGRAM
PERSONNEL REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND PREPARATION OF FUNDING REQUESTS.
COORDINATES PERSONNEL ACTIVITIES FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR; SERVES AS
RESOURCE PERSON ON PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. CONDUCTS CONFIDENTIAL
INVESTIGATIONS AND COMPLEX SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS; PREPARES AND MAINTAINS SPECIALIZED
RECORDS AND REPORTS. ESTABLISHES AND PROVIDES CONSULTATION AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
ON ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. SCHEDULES APPOINTMENTS, ARRANGES MEETINGS,
AND MAKES TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. SERVES AS LIAISON BETWEEN OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND ANY
PARTIES WITHIN SC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION OR THE PUBLIC. DEMONSTRATES A HIGH
DEGREE OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS. EFFECTIVELY AND COURTEOUSLY ADMINISTERS TO THE PUBLIC
AND OTHERS IN HANDLING INQUIRIES AND COMMUNICATING INFORMATION. PERFORMS OTHER
DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
