Job Description:

Planning activities

Counselors may plan and implement activities like Legos, movies, arts and crafts, or enrichment programs for reading and math. They may also create daily lesson plans should they choose to work inter session and/or summer camps.

 

Supervision

Counselors are responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. They may monitor behavior and attendance, and enforce safety rules.

 

Providing counseling

May develop individual plans to help students reach their academic, social, and emotional goals. They may also provide guidance and support, and collaborate with Tae Kwon Do Masters and parents to create a positive learning environment. 

 

Other responsibilities

Instructors may also help children with homework, make sure everyone has snacks, and maintain relationships with parents. They may also need to work in a team environment, communicate effectively, and adhere to policies. Instructors are responsible for maintaining a clean classroom space. Other minor housekeeping duties may be assigned. 

 

Schedule:
Schedule flexible around classes Mondays, Tuesdays. Thursdays, and Fridays during the hours of 2pm-6pm
Required schedule Wednesdays 2pm-6pm

Optional summer/intercession camp schedule between the hours of 7:30am to 6pm Mondays through Fridays *not to exceed 40 hours /week.
