Requirements:

Preferred: Associate's Degree and one year of experience in public health or social services.

Must communicate effectively and courteously.

Knowledgeable about health and human services programs and resources.

Job Description:

The Assessment Specialist works within the Area Agency on Aging to determine the eligibility of clients to receive services or benefits under federal and state senior citizens programs.

Job responsibilities include completing assessments using questionnaires and other tools, entering data, preparing and submitting reports, and coordinating activities with other Area Agency on Aging staff. Assessments involve in-person visits to clients' homes. Training is provided.
