Requirements:

A high school diploma and two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. Successful completion of a comprehensive bridge inspection training course is required by Federal Highway Administration.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

This advertisement is for 2 vacant positions.
Assists in inspection through visual and non-destructive methods, and evaluates the structural condition of bridges and culverts by following guidelines as mandated by FHWA. Edits information to inspection reports and computer. Assists with the assembly and distribution of completed inspection reports. Operates vehicles and motorboat. Operates the under bridge platform or snooper unit as needed. Updates reports of bridge/culverts that havehad an "A" or "B" flag properly repaired. Prepares time sheets, HMMS daily work reports,bridge deficiency reports, and BAI reports. Updates pictures of new structures and damages to structures. Assists in updating maps and inspection files. Updates bridge locations with coordinates through GPS. Records the streambed profile by completing the stream/ground
profile report. Performs other duties as necessary for the successful completion of the inspection program.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
