A high school diploma and two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Inspects all phases on construction work including; concrete, earthwork, asphalt, pipe installation, curb and gutter, and erosion control inspection. Operates all survey equipment and verify all necessary points and elevations. Maintains quality field notes and inputs all quantities into Site Manager and verifies correctness. Assists with project closeout. Obtains all necessary construction samples specified in the SCDOT standard specifications and construction manual.Performs any necessary field tests to verify all specs are met. Tracks all construction work andperforms any necessary computations including length, volume or areas. Performs other required duties as assigned by the RCE.
