Requirements:

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Acts as inspector on road and bridge projects. Inspects the placement of asphalt and asphalt surface treatments. Inspects the placement of erosion control items. Performs inspections of various roadway items. Operates survey equipment which includes EDM and level. Verifies grades and offsets associated with all phases of construction. Maintains accurate and legible survey field notes. Performs duties of rodman and axman as necessary. Maintains project records. Enters daily work reports for work inspected on assigned projects. Performs EEO and wage regulation interviews. Obtains and records material certifications and samples. Monitors
traffic control and erosion control. Performs inspections as required and communicates to contractors the necessary corrections. Performs other related job duties as requested by supervisor.
