Wages/Salary: STATE SALARY RANGE: $26,988.00 - $49,932.00 Annually
A high school diploma and two (2) years of experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all phases of roadway inspections to ensure that construction meets the standard specifications. This includes clearing and grubbing of right-of-way; rough and fine grading; placing of pipe and drainage structures; construction of concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks; compaction of embankment and subgrades; placement of base course; placement of asphalt surface courses and bituminous surfacing, grassing, placement of guardrail, and other miscellaneous items. Compiles and records information for daily diary, monthly construction reports and prepares monthly construction estimates. Samples construction materials. Obtains job control samples and performs aggregate gradation analysis. Performs related duties as requested.
