Automotive Technician

The Burton Center is looking for a motivated individual to take on the role of Automotive Service Technician.

This schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

The Automotive Service Technician will ensure that all agency vehicles are in good repair along with maintenance up-keep. They will be trained on organizational policies and procedures regarding automotive services we provide.

1. Responsible for all services related to transportation, in the most efficient, cost-effective manner under direction of Service Station Manager.

2. Responsible for repairs and maintenance upkeep of agency and public vehicles.

3. Responsible for all invoiced or work order preparation associated with the maintenance of vehicles to assist the Service Writer.

4. Must always work in a safety-first mentality; good housekeeping, proper lifting techniques, use of chemicals, and personal protective equipment.

5. Maintain accurate records relating to Service Station Department.

6. Responsible for any other duties as requested by the Service Station Manager.

1. Valid SC Driver's License

2. High School Diploma or GED

3. Associate's degree in automotive mechanics OR a minimum of (5) years of experience in automotive repair services.

1. Experience in Auto Mechanical processes including diagnostics

2. Automotive certifications

1. Requires lifting of supplies and materials such as tires, batteries and equipment related to job duties.

2.Bending, stooping and standing for long periods of time.
