Wages/Salary: AGENCY HIRING RANGE - MIN: $30,000.00 AGENCY HIRING RANGE - MAX: $41,046.00
MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human
Resources Regulations.
A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the inspection of all phases of construction work, including pipe, curb and gutter
installation, grading and base, drainage, catch basins, foundations, concrete, reclamation, and
asphalt placement. Assists/trains with performing inspection work in Asphalt or Earthwork type
construction. Trains in all other types of SCDOT construction work. Assists with taking
construction measurements. Calculates pay quantities including areas, cubic yards, on
excavation, asphalt rates, spread rates, and lengths. Computes grades as necessary. Assists
with keying all construction notes and pay items into SiteManager as daily work reports. Assists
with preliminary engineering work including stationing, staking, and cross slope. Assists with
collecting required construction samples according to SCDOT specifications. Performs other
duties as assigned by RCE and ARCE.
