Facility Cleaning Services:

- Non-Carpeted Floors (Vinyl Tile (all surfaces requiring finish/buffing, etc), Ceramic Tile, and Concrete (all surfaces NOT requiring finishing/buffing, etc..). Floors shall be maintained free of grit, soil, dust, scuff and heel marks, stains, spills, debris, litter and other foreign matter by effective routine cleaning.  Cleaning shall be accomplished by the most appropriate method (vacuum, sweep, dust mop, damp mop, spot clean, etc.) and with cleaning solutions for the specific floor type.  After cleaning, floor surfaces to include grout shall have a uniform, clean appearance without streaks, swirl marks, detergent residue, or any evidence of soil, stain, film, or standing water.  Baseboards, corners, and wall/floor edges shall also be clean and free of finish buildup subject to age and ordinary wear.  Floor finish/seals shall only be used on floor surfaces requiring such application.  Chairs, trash receptacles, and other easily moveable items shall be moved to maintain floors underneath these items and returned to their original and proper position after cleaning. All entrance ways shall be swept and any standing trash removed, trash cans emptied with liners replaced.

-Carpeted Floors.  Carpets shall be maintained free of soil, dirt, debris, litter and other foreign matter by effective routine vacuuming.  Efficient vacuum cleaners shall offer high airflow, high efficiency filtration for more effective soil removal and may either be upright vacuum cleaners with beater bars or back pack style based on best practices.  Any spots and/or spills shall be removed by the carpet manufacturer’s approved methods or other commercially accepted practices as soon as noticed. Chairs, trash receptacles, and other easily moveable items shall be moved to maintain floors underneath these items and returned to their original and proper position after cleaning.  Baseboards, corners and wall floor edges shall be free of dust, webs and all soils.

-Clean Floor (Walk-Off) Mats.  Vacuum and/or clean interior and exterior floor mats.  Mats shall be free of all visible lint, litter, debris, soil and other foreign matter.  Soil and moisture underneath mats shall be removed and mats returned to their normal location. 

-All Trash Cans.  Empty all trash cans when 1/3 or more full or when there is evidence of food or other type waste.  Collect and dispose of all trash in receptacle located outside on the property. Liners shall be replaced as needed and trash cans shall be washed/dried when soiled (not to exceed monthly service).

-Clean and Disinfect Restrooms in Office and Workcenter.  All surfaces of sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatories, showers, shower mats, dispensers, plumbing fixtures, doors, walls, partitions, stalls, stall doors, entry doors, walls, and other such surfaces shall be cleaned and disinfected using a germicidal detergent.  Restrooms shall have a clean scent or no odor at all.  Showers, toilets, and urinals will be free of spots, water spots, scale buildup, soap scum, odors, and any other deposits.  Mirrors shall be clean and have no streaks or other removable matter.  Partitions shall be smudge and stain free. Ceiling vents shall be dusted to maintain dust free appearance.

-Restroom Floor Care.  All floor surfaces shall be maintained by effective routine cleaning.  Moveable items shall be tilted or moved to sweep and damp mop underneath.  Grout on the wall and floor tiles shall be free of dirt, scum, mildew, and residue.  Damaged or missing grout shall be reported.  Care shall be used when scrubbing surfaces not to damage floor surface.  VCT (Vinyl Composite Tiles) or other surfaces requiring seal/finish shall be stripped/scrubbed and maintained with appropriate finish.  Ceramic tile surfaces shall not have any finish applied.

-Restroom Supplies.  Ensure restrooms are stocked sufficiently so any provided supplies including toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap do not run out. 

-Drinking Fountains.  Clean all facility drinking fountains, typically located near or in the vicinity of restrooms.  All porcelain and polished metal surfaces, including the orifices and drain, as well as exterior surfaces of fountains shall be cleaned and disinfected.  Drinking fountains shall be free of streaks, stains, spots, smudges, scale, and other obvious soil. 

-Kitchen and eating area. Kitchen floors, tables, chairs, sink, microwave, and other equipment shall be cleaned with a disinfectant product that will not harm surfaces. 

-Periodic Floor Maintenance. Ceramic tile and other floor surfaces with grout lines shall have a uniform, clean appearance without streaks, swirl marks, detergent residue or any evidence of soil, stain, film or standing water subject to age and ordinary wear and tear.  Ceramic tile and other surfaces with grout lines shall not have floor finish applied and shall be safe to walk on.  All edges/corners of all hard floor surfaces shall be clean and free of soil and finish build up.

-Dusting. Window blinds shall be dusted, at least monthly, to remove dust and debris from blinds. Baseboards, light fixtures, counters, and displays will be dusted as necessary or at least once monthly.

-Windows. The interior windows shall be cleaned and wiped as needed but no less than monthly. All finger print and smudges shall be removed using a squeeze or a type of product to protect glass from damage or scratches. -Refuse Collection and Disposal.  Use existing bulk containers to dispose of trash or refuse generated from accomplishment of services.  Adhere to prescribed recycling programs.
