Minimum and Additional Requirements

A High School Diploma and three (3) years of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business.
 
An Associate's Degree and one (1) year of experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business.

Ability to record client data and prepare written reports, communicate effectively, follow instructions and maintain good interpersonal relationships with clients and co-workers. Knowledge of information gathering techniques, the administration of medicine and simple treatment and care, individual and group behavior activities, sanitation, personal hygiene and basic health and safety practices.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Child Welfare Services Case Manager Assistant for our Greenwood County office who provides services to remedy abuse, neglect, exploitation or self-neglect of adults or children unable to protect themselves. Provides assistance to Case Manager’s with providing case management services.
 
The CWS Case Manager Assistant provides or arranges transportation to resources in the community as part of the Social Service side plan.

Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients. 

Makes requests for educational, medical, dental, and law enforcement records. 

Assists with the completion of various packets within the agency.

Assists with the transportation of children. 

Assists with child and family visitation.

Assists with other administrative support functions to include drafting correspondences, copying, faxing, and email.

Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter services when needed.
