Job Description:

Essential Functions:

Verifies, records and clocks in all legal documents such as deeds, conditions and restrictions, contracts, agreements, descriptions of real estate, cemetery plots, easements, leases, plats, mortgages, judgments, summonses, complaints, power of attorney contracts, bankruptcy notices, satisfactions, assignments, releases, modifications, mechanic's liens, tax liens, etc., all of which are to be processed in the ROD, General Sessions and Common Pleas divisions.

Makes copies of documents for public record.

Collects, records and receipts recording and filing fees, restitution fines, cash bonds, estreatments and other revenues as prescribed by law.

Interprets ROD procedures and provides assistance and information to public officials, attorneys and the public as required.

Performs computer data entry to record and retrieve information and to prepare reports and correspondence.

Additional Duties:

Performs various routine clerical duties as necessary, including but not limited to typing letters and other office communications, notarizing and certifying documents, indexing, copying, filing, faxing information, answering the telephone, etc.
