Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of public relations experience.
A bachelor's degree in communications, English, marketing or related field and five years related experience in management; public relations; the development and successful implementation of an innovative, effective marketing strategy and brand
recognition development; market research and analysis; development and dissemination of marketing campaigns and materials. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working in Technical/Community College preferred.
Master's Degree preferred.

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Marketing department of Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following: Planning, developing, managing and increasing the impact of communications about GTC, its programs and services; and messages targeting constituents, policymakers, opinion leaders through multiple media Internal and external communications, including media, public relations and the development and successful implementation of an innovative and effective marketing strategy that enhances GTC brand and image. Oversee creative development process for all advertising, promotional, web, videos, etc. through creative design, execution, printing and distribution, market analysis and research Manage and integrate all marketing and communications budgets, media planning, placement, purchases, tracking of campaign results, timelines, work plans and staffing. Keep abreast of latest trends and technologies in the creative arena for both print and digital formats Cultivate strategic relationships to help promote GTC to key stakeholders, community leaders, elected officials, influences and local/national media. Participates in regional and state marketing initiatives, marketing advisory committee and professional marketing associations Other duties as assignedGreenville Technical College is the largest technical college in South Carolina and the third largest institution of higher learning in the state. As the Marketing Director, this position will lead a staff of media, creative, and marketing professionals in order to position the college as a leader in workforce development and educational strategies. The Director of Marketing is responsible for managing the branding effort and developing marketing strategies to effectively position the college with its many target audiences,internally and externally. The Director also strategizes with leadership, establishes media plans and placements, tracks results,and conducts the business of an in-house advertising agency. The Director supervises the website and GEN Channel 14,positions public relations messaging, and oversees the entire college marketing communications platform.
