Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and experience or additional technical training in the repair and maintenance of electronic or electromechanical equipment. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history is required.

Additional Comments

Knowledge of electronic equipment, including maintenance and repair. Ability to troubleshoot electronic equipment using blueprints and schematics. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain a spare parts inventory. Ability to follow on-the-job safety guidelines and accident prevention practices. Must have experience with installation and repair of security camera systems and emergency call boxes. Must have experience with IP based camera systems and architecture, and experience in maintaining, inspecting, testing, and repairing cameras, call boxes, networks, hardware and software.

Job Description:

Under general supervision, the Electronics Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, service, and maintenance of the campus wide video camera system, emergency call boxes, mass notification system and all other technical needs in the department, in accordance with all national, state, and local codes and standards.

Schedule:
University Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
