Requirements:

A high school diploma and two (2) years of related trades experience; or an approved
acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (Note:) This position requires a valid Class A
Commercial Driver's License. However, applicants without a Class A Commercial Driver's License will be
considered if no qualified applicants with a Class A Commercial Driver's License are available.
A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required within six (6) months of placement in the
position.

Job Description:

Under general supervision performs skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance,
modification and repair of electrical/electronic equipment involving traffic signal systems
interstate lighting and weather information systems in the seven counties of District 4. Assists
in the installation, maintenance, programming and repair of traffic signals similar to electrical
systems. Assists with the repair of traffic loops and video detection as needed. Assists with the
preventive maintenance checks on traffic signal equipment. Assists the signal technicians in
performing field maintenance including replacement of obsolete or damaged signal equipment,
cabinets, controllers, poles, anchors, cables, wiring and conduits. Assists in the maintenance of
all equipment. Performs housekeeping and preventive maintenance to equipment. Train in the
operation of a large bucket truck, pole truck and trailer, concrete saw and large truck pulling
the trenching machine. Assists with data entry into the signal shop database. Assists with the
maintenance of interstate sign lighting and other duties assigned by supervisor.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
