A bachelor's degree in engineering; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Trains to perform inspections of guardrail and cable rail systems, notes deficiencies and damages and submits work request for repair. Trains to perform roadway and drainage inspections of the State road system in Laurens County and submits work requests for repair. Assists with encroachment permit process to include submittal, review, approval and inspection of work on right-of-way. Assists in the inspection of maintenance work performed by contractors hired by SCDOT. Assists in gathering information, quantities, and maps for the submittal of maintenance contracts to include thermoplastic markings, raised pavement
markings, resurfacing, and contract mowing. Assists in the update of maintenance plans to include IRVM, ditching sign, and debris removal. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
