Job Description:

Summary of Responsibilities:

Mativ Holdings has an opening for a summer intern at our Prosperity, SC facility in our Process Engineering Department. The Intern selected will assist the department with daily tasks and projects. As well as assisting Mativ management staff in the evaluation, analysis, and design of production projects as instructed.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interacting with the Process Team, Plant Manager, Operations, and Maintenance on a day to day Facility Operations
  • Assisting with the development of capital engineering projects and assist in the general maintenance and repair work with the maintenance department
  • Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement projects
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education/Certifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Business Management or related studies preferred
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0

Required Skills:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, AutoCAD etc.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
