An associate degree in electronics and related experience.
Must possess a valid SC Driver's License.
An associate degree in electronics or military electronics training and two (2) years of experience operating and maintaining a TV, FM or high power radar transmitter installations and digital transmitters; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Under general supervision assists Transmitter Supervisors in the operation of multiple digital broadcast transmitter installations. Provides relief coverage for Transmitter Supervisors. Performs routine and emergency maintenance on very complex high power broadcast transmitters and on complex video and audio processing, monitoring, remote control, and associated equipment. Checks broadcast signals and operation for compliance with FCC and FAA rules and regulations. Keeps required records and files for compliance with FCC. and FAA rules and regulations. Orders parts, supplies, and tools as required for transmitters, associated equipment and building. Maintains building and grounds. Performs general inspection of transmitting tower, guy lines, and guy anchors.
