Requirements / Qualifications:
- Valid Funeral Director License and/or the ability to obtain license in the State of North Carolina within 60 days
- Proficient with computers and technology
- Ability to manage caseloads while creating an exceptional customer experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills & grief counseling
- Ability to craft obituaries
- Active embalming skills
- Team player
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
Our funeral directors manage all segments of the funeral process. The ideal team member is hardworking, well organized, community orientated individual wishing to work for a company that regards tradition, compassion and integrity above all other traits.
Our funeral directors work four days a week and every other weekend. We offer generous benefits including; health insurance, life insurance, retirement plan, profit sharing, cell phone allowance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services
- Ensuring all files and paperwork are timely and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
- Conducting and attending services regularly
- Working on-call / first call, six days a month
- Maintaining open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files
- Participating in community events, groups and/or organizations
