Requirements:

An Associate's Degree and one (1) year experience in clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business.

Ability to record data and prepare written reports, communicate effectively, and follow instructions. 

Ability to use a computer to include email and other applications and systems.


Knowledge of  child safety practices.

Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with clients, providers, and families served by the agency, as well as coworkers.

Must have a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.  Travel and work with little to no notice.

Ability to enter information into a computer system and lift up to 30 pounds.

 Ability to access 4/5 drawer file cabinets.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Human Services Specialist I for our Laurens County who will assist the Human Services Specialist II with providing casework services to include transporting in the area of assessment, family preservation, and foster care.

Provide and array of services  in coordinating and/or ensuring timely submission of data regarding initial screenings for foster children as well as baby net for children in foster care and baby net services for children in substantiated cases.

Completes requests for educational, medical, dental, and mental health records as needed  as well as requests for vital information and records.

Assist with other administrative support functions to include correspondences, copy, fax, and email regarding needs and services for the families served.

Provide or arrange transportation to resources as part of social services aid plan as needed.

Participates as a member of a professional team to plan services for clients.

Performs Red-Cross duty or other emergency shelter duty/service as directed.
