Requirements:

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

- Experience with 12-volt automotive electrical systems
- Knowledge of wiring, relays, switches, and circuit protection
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and installation instructions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Emergency vehicle upfitting
  • Fleet vehicle equipment installation
  • Automotive electronics
  • Law enforcement, fire, EMS, utility, or municipal vehicle equipment
Job Description:

As a Vehicle Upfitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing emergency warning lights, sirens, and control systems
  • Mounting light bars, grille lights, hideaway strobes, and scene lighting
  • Utilizing computer programming for electronics. 
  • Installing vehicle consoles, push bumpers, partitions, prisoner transport equipment, and storage systems
  • Running wiring harnesses and electrical circuits through vehicles
  • Installing radios, antennas, mobile data terminals, GPS systems, and communication equipment
  • Installing inverter systems, auxiliary batteries, battery chargers, and power management systems
  • Fabricating brackets and mounting solutions when necessary
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and installation issues
  • Performing quality control inspections on completed upfits
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Assisting with vehicle deliveries and customer demonstrations when needed
