Required Skills:

Must have experience with auto CAD, ability to modify prints.

Use graphic instructions, such as blueprints, schematic drawings, pencil diagrams or other visual aids to perform tasks.

Make precise arm-hand positioning movements and maintain static arm-hand position to operate a hand drill or other tool. Lift arms above shoulder level to work on equipment.

Work in small, cramped areas to repair, remove, or install equipment.

Climb and balance on ladders or steps to access and work on and around equipment.

Move heavy objects (50 pounds or more) with proper mechanical aids, long distances (more than 500 feet)

Lift and carry objects weighing no more than 50 pounds; with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds; Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time to repair equipment

Must be willing to learn job-related material through oral instruction and observation, or through structured lecture and reading. This learning takes place in both on-the-job training settings and in classroom settings.

Work with cleaning fluids, effluent, cleaning agents, paints, chemicals or similar solutions using personal protective equipment as required.            

Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Environment: Varying temperatures including excessive heat, noise. Exposure to fumes, chemicals and solvents. Work in cramped quarters. Work at heights greater than 4 ft in a body harness.

Sensory Attention: Work with mechanical equipment.

Mental Stress: Moderate

Shift:   1st or 2nd shift   (Five 8hr or Four 10hr days). Normally Mon – Fri. Some over time and/or weekend work may be required

Report to: Shift Lead Supervisor. May receive work direction directly from client facility, operations and engineering departments.


QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate should possess the following character traits: Very self-motivated. High degree of attention to detail. Team oriented – focuses on system improvement rather than individual goals. Follows up on all action requests, even those assigned to vendors and co-workers, to ensure mission critical requirements are completed on time.

Two year technical degree, 5 years industrial maintenance experience

Computer literate. Possess the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Maximo experience desirable.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The job requires occasionally remaining on one's feet in an upright position without moving for long periods of time, occasionally moving about on foot for long periods of time, remaining in a seated position for long periods of time, and/or climbing stairs, step-ladders, extension ladders and scaffolding ladders. The job also requires the ability to raise or lower an object of approximately 5-50 pounds from one level to another, the ability to transport an object of up to 50 pounds a distance of up to 10 yards, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder, the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves away from the force, and/or the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves toward the force.

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.

Job Description:

Currently we have an opportunity for an Instrumentation Technician.

Primary Responsibilities

Team member will provide maintenance support to combustion test facility operations equipment. Safely troubleshoot and perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance on:

Water, pneumatic, and oil systems.

Pumps, high-pressure flow and temperature control valves, air compressors… related to multiple fuel systems.

Troubleshoot, install, and repair Pneumatic and electrical PLC control systems.

Install, repair, replace, and maintain video systems for: high temperature cameras.

Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance program for area equipment.

Determine daily and long-range work schedules by reviewing computerized (Maximo) backlog and frequently interfacing with various people and organizations to capture new undocumented work requests.

Secondary Responsibilities

May be required to support Testing Facility Operations and Maintenance including, but not limited to: test stand buildups, test stand moves, and facility system lineup changes.

Use knowledge of rigging methods to move heavy equipment.

Plan for and install new manufacturing equipment.

Modify existing mechanical and electrical equipment to support new specification changes.
