Requirements:

A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience or training that would provide the applicant with a knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations applicable to the occupational area; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with SCDOT's Highway Maintenance Management System. Experience with SC TortClaims. Experience with testifying and/or giving depositions

Job Description:

Under very limited supervision, conducts investigations and assists in the defense of lawsuits and tort claims filed against SCDOT. Investigations include but are not limited to interviewing witnesses and employees, analyzing and photographing scenes and preparing reports. Assists attorneys assigned to cases with discovery requests and defense of cases as requested. Gives testimony in court and depositions as needed.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/Full-Time
