Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one to two years of progressively responsible technical experience in electrical line work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have valid South Carolina Class A commercial driver?s license. Must have satisfactorily completed weeks one, two, three, and six of Line Worker Training School classes and possess a Class ?C? certification. Must be at least 21 years of age.
Under regular supervision, performs semi-skilled work in construction, maintenance, repair, and connection duties to the City?s electrical system. Work involves operating various heavy equipment, building and maintaining primary and secondary systems, and performing any requested service as needed. Reports to the Electric Superintendent.
