Thread Gauges: Go ? No/Go (based on tolerances)

SET UP:
Program:
Understands how to load a program
Can interpret how program will affect machine
Displays basic understanding of M&G coding
G0, G1, G2, G3, G40, G41, G42, M2, M3, M4, M6 (Mills only), M8, M9

Physical Set Up:
Can describe how to load bar stock and parts (Lathes only)
Can identify cutting tools and describe how to load cutting tools
Can describe how to touch off tools
Can describe techniques to verify a program will make a quality piece
Can describe how to adjust feeds and speeds
Can describe how to maintain tooling

First Piece Inspection:
Can measure parts to print
Can describe what program adjustments must be made and how to make them

RUN:
During Operation:
Can describe how to identify and check tool wear
Can describe how to troubleshoot tolerance problems during runs and make necessary
adjustments to feeds and speeds (i.e. taper, chatter, surface finish)

QUALITY:
Can describe previous experience with failure occurring prior to delivery or shipment of the product, or the furnishing of a service, to the customer.
