Qualifications

  • 2 year Technical Degree (preferred) or 5 or more years experiences in maintenance, electrical and mechanical field with High School Diploma or GED
  • Self-Starter, thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles. NEC codes, mechanical ability
  • Ability to perform all forms of welding, brazing and cutting using gas and electrical welding equipment
  • Ability to analyze and correct electrical problems and repair and overhaul electrical equipment and controls
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organizational skills, ability to work in elevated heights
  • Good attendance; must be flexible to assist with workloads without notice for planned/unplanned absences
  • History of dependability and responsibility
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment

Responsibilities

 

  • Perform all preventive maintenance, inspect, test, adjust and repair all physical plant machinery, heating, cooling, piping and electrical systems, and record maintenance in accordance to schedules
  • Operate and maintain all physical plant machinery and equipment
  • Construct and repair building structures, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets and furniture
  • Install electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors and other such equipment
  • Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install or repair equipment
  • Start up and shut down equipment in accordance with Company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in accordance with OSHA requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and wiring schematics for troubleshooting equipment
  • Install, repair and maintain communication cables
  • Notify supervisors of potentially dangerous electrical noted and corrective action taken
  • Make preventive maintenance checks during course of shift and take appropriate corrective action
  • Ability to complete required paperwork
  • Repair, rebuild, or overhaul-all types of production and service equipment in the facility and repair or manufacture machine parts
  • Assist in set-up and adjust of production equipment
  • Observe mechanical devices in operations and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
  • Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices
  • Lubricate and clean parts
  • Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts
  • Initiate purchase order for parts and machines
  • Repair electrical equipment
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
