Requirements:

A tenth (10th) grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of work experience that
involved the independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment;
or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required within six (6) months of placement in
the position.

Job Description:

Repairs and maintains vehicles to include engine overhauls, transmission repairs and overhauls,
differential repairs and overhauls and clutch replacements to both gasoline and diesel powered
vehicles, CDL trucks and other equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles and
equipment using appropriate manufacturer's manual as a guide. Prepares and installs new
equipment into new vehicles and equipment. Performs hydraulic and pneumatic system checks
and repairs on vehicles and equipment as needed. Checks and repairs electronic ignitions and
electrical systems as prescribed by appropriate manufacture's manual. Performs wiring and
brake repairs as prescribed by manufacturer's manual. Repairs and replaces exhaust systems
and performs repairs to vehicles cooling systems and motors. Performs service calls and other
related duties as required. Lifts items weighing up to seventy (70) pounds. May be required to
complete work assignments in other areas of the shop.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
