B. One year of post high school education. Two year business degree preferred.
C. Three years minimum office management experience preferred preferably in health care.

Job Description:

I. General Description

Manages the day to day administrative operational activities of the assigned center along with performing duties as the Migrant Coordinator for CHC’s migrant program.

II. Office Manager Duties and Responsibilities

A. Performs day-to-day office procedures as Medical Assistant and responsible for effective office coordination.
B. Trains and assists other medical assistants providing input, feedback, and making recommendations as needed.
C. Handles conflicts with patients and employees and forwards information to supervisor.
D. Notifies practice administrator when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
E. Makes deposits on a daily basis and forward receipts to accounting. Responsible for printing reports as needed and forwarding to appropriate personnel.
F. Responsible for requisitioning office supplies.
G. Sets up provider schedules in MISYS computer system.
H. Sets priorities of office activities.
I. Acts as liaison between providers and staff.
J. Coordinates activities between Medical Assistants and nursing staff.
K. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Migrant Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
A. Coordinate and establish a working relationship with the growers.
B. Assist in the coordination of services. Acts as the contact person for appointments. Arranges dental services.
C. Arrange transportation for farm workers referred to other providers.
D. Public relations for the program. Distribute flyers to camp and community.
E. Work the evening of the clinic as secretary and coordinator.
F. Make sure chars are ready for clinic, order supplies, balance each night, and make deposits daily forwarding receipts to accounting.
G. Make sure lab reports are signed and filed.
H. Coordinates, trains, and assists migrant assistants.
I. Translates as needed.
J. Setup referral appointments.
K. Consult with CFO regarding any unusual costs the program may incur.
L. Other related duties.

M-F 8-6, Saturdays during the Migrant program
