Wages/Salary: $64,000 annually.

Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis or a high school graduate and six years experience in moderately complex PC and/or server support.

Additional Requirements:

1) The incumbent must posses a valid SC driver's license. Position may require work beyond the 37.5 hour work week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must carry a mobile communications device, if provided. Must be able to work during emergency/disaster events, including hazardous weather. Work may be required on-site or remote or a combination of both. Position will require some in-state travel, may require overnight travel.
2) Experienced knowledge of information technology system analysis, design, testing and maintenance techniques. Experienced knowledge of computer or network hardware, software, operating systems, or other information technology tools/resources. Ability to solve basic to moderately complex problems and apply critical thinking skills to needs or problems, both individually and as part of a team. Ability to prepare status reports and basic to moderately complex technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and staff members and other IT units. Ability to follow technical directions. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. The ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

Job Description:

Under the oversight of the Manager for Infrastructure and End User Services provides support for IT infrastructure and related components which may include configuring, maintaining, deploying, updating and other related activities as needed to support infrastructure to include servers, appliances and software configurations. Performs systems review oversight and ensures PCI compliance is adhered to. Supports SCPRT’s Central location, 47 State Parks and 9 Welcome Centers. Provides creative solutions to complex, new and on-going IT needs within the agency. Suggests and implements systems that support and grow with the needs of SCPRT. Provides support and consulting for personal computers, iPads and cell phones. Position requires travel to SC Parks and Welcome Centers. Provides timely resolutions and troubleshooting in a timely and useful manner. Resolves issues with least amount of downtime and minimal return visits. Develops comprehensive technical documentation and system diagrams. Develops and maintains tools for automation, monitoring, and capacity planning. Manages and maintains secure infrastructure. Provides good sound technical solutions based on industry best practices.  Windows Server 2019, VMware Workspace One or MDM equivalent, VMware vSphere, Microsoft 365 and Powershell experience preferred.

Actual Job Location: SCPRT Central Office.

Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours weekly.
