Job Description:

Materials Management is responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements. Responsibilities include the planning and procurement of material components to minimize obsolescence and overstock situations while achieving maximum customer service levels. 

Accountabilities:

  • Quality system – It is essential to have a deep understanding of our Quality system, and to be fast and efficient in use of Agile, our Quality System’s documentation software.  Tasks will include:
    • Update Agile BOM’s
    • Revise Formula Sheets
    • Revise Process Settings documents
    • Revise associated documents (stack patterns, First Article Inspection, automatic packer settings, etc.)
    • Coordinate Biocompatibility requests through corporate Biocompatibility group
    • Coordinate Packaging changes through corporate Packaging group
    • Contact approvers when critical to project success
    • Remove inactive materials from Formula Sheets
  • Documentation – Maintain all documentation on the production floor used in the manufacturing of product. This includes official documentation for products, processes, and packaging
  • Initiate/revise documentation when appropriate
  • Artwork:
    • Approve in Agile
    • Package CD of artwork
    • FedEx CD to graphics company
    • Email FedEx tracking number to graphics company
    • Upon receipt of graphics quote, create PR in Maximo, send email requesting PO
    • Send PO to graphics company 
  • Microsoft Office applications – Utilization of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.  Will utilize various software to create/maintain spreadsheets, reports, & organization
  • Other Software – Utilization of other software for various functions – such as BPCS, Minitab (statistical analysis), Quality Windows, Visio, Maximo
  • Ship/receive samples – Typically through FedEx, prepare samples & packaging for shipment, deliver packages to FedEx desk, transport packages from FedEx to Recipient, etc.
