Requirements:

A high school diploma and two (2) years of work experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.

Job Description:

Assists shop foreman and mechanics in procuring correct repair parts for vehicle and heavy equipment by using the SCEIS system. Also acts as assistant Shop Foreman during the absence of foreman. Maintains data in Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS), to include time entering and service tickets. Answers inquiries about stock; helps resolve discrepancies in orders shipped and or returned. Maintains detailed inventory records of supplies and equipment on hand. Supervises subordinate in receiving, storing, issuing and requisitioning stock, checking for compliance with purchase order specifications. Investigates property losses and other inventory discrepancies; and reports results and recommendations to appropriate authorities. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Performs duties as a credit card liaison for all shop purchases.
