A high school diploma and two and one-half (2.5) years of work experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.

Job Description:

Operates equipment module of HMMS in all phases of shop operation. This includes the completion of shop service tickets, shop work orders, preventative maintenance system for maintenance and construction, monthly close-out, posting of labor to service tickets, preparation of comparison reports for unscheduled and scheduled repairs, preparation of job sheets when foreman is absent. Prepares inventory reports. Investigates proper losses and other inventory discrepancies; reports results and recommendations to appropriate authorities. Assists shop supervisor and mechanics in procuring correct repair parts for vehicles and heavy equipment. Initiates shopping carts in SCEIS and any related paperwork needed for procurement of shop supplies and equipment parts. Serves as contact for shop procurement record and payment status to vendors. Maintains detailed inventory records of supplies and equipment on hand. Administers the issuing of parts and supplies, including posting parts to shop service tickets. Assigns identification numbers to appropriate property and equipment and applies property accountability decals. Manages employee concessions along with the distribution of employee PPE. Performs other duties as necessary or as assigned by supervisor.
