Wages/Salary: The state salary range is from $21,063.00 to $38,975.00 annually. The agency minimum hiring range salary is 24,780.00 and the maximum is 38,975.00.

Requirements:

You will need a 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations; a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Job Description:

You will operate Slope Mower with Buzz-Bar and Flail Mowers to cut limbs and vegetation on the right-of-way; operate backhoe to clean out drainage ditches and install sideline and cross line pipe; operate tandem dump truck in hauling maintenance and construction materials including concrete pipes, asphalt, dirt, and coquina; operate front-end loader to load materials for job sites; perform preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in equipment specifications; flag traffic using sign board or flags to direct traffic safely around and by workers and equipment during roadway maintenance repairs. Performs duties using manual labor, in maintenance tasks as clearing of right-of-ways, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing
shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, repairing bridges, installing driveways, and laying sideline/ crossline pipes; operate the ditching machine and large motorgrader in ditching, shoulder operations, grading and machining roads or snow and ice removal; perform emergency repairs and runs adjustments to work being performed; operates truck mounted plows and sand spreaders in snow and ice removal as necessary.
