Requirements:

A 10th grade education and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

The employee operates self propelled stabilizer/recycler and soil stabilization units as well as motorgrader with maintenance reclamation operations. Operates gradall and performs various maintenance tasks including ditch work, slope mowing, limb trimming, and patching during the winter months or when reclamation activities have ceased due to breakdowns or weather. Operates standard and tandem dump trucks for hauling materials including asphalt and stone, and to pull trailer to haul equipment to and from job sites in the completion of maintenance functions. Conducts and documents pre-operation vehicle/equipment inspection. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment as outlined in equipment specifications. Flags traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment. Performs other related job duties as necessary including snow and ice removal. Inspects motorgrader work for proper cross slopes, alignment, and grade of roadway during reclamation operations.

Schedule:
FTE Full-Time, Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
