Requirements:

MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A 10th grade education and five and one-half (5.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.

A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Devises a schedule for work to be performed by maintenance crew. Assumes supervisor's
duties and responsibilities in their absence. Operates backhoe/gradall in maintenance activities such as repairing cross line pipes, installing driveways and cleaning ditches. Serves as crew leader performing various duties including setting forms and finishing concrete for sidewalk and curb repairs, right-of-way, removing trees from roadways and repairing guardrails and bridges.
Conducts safety inspections on all assigned vehicles and equipment. Operates motor grader in ditching and shoulder operations, grading and machining roads and snow and ice removal.
Produces daily records of work performed and materials used, records such as HMMS and the maintenance requests and complaint forms. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
