Requirements:

A high school diploma and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Supervises and inspects work of a crew performing limb trimming and right-of-way clearing operations to achieve a level of service in which all roads in Greenwood County are cleared on a four year cycle. Produces daily records of work performed and materials used and enters information into HMMS. Supervises and ensures a safe work zone for maintenance crew, as in flagging operations, wearing of safety equipment, vehicle safety, or when working with hazardous materials and waste. Supervises and inspects work including ditching, machining shoulders, patching, laying pipe, and paving driveways. Supervises and coordinates crew in the removal of snow and ice from roadways and storm damage. Performs other job duties, including on call for after hour emergencies. Supervises the preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure a routine maintenance schedule is followed and to monitor equipment use and wear to prolong equipment life.

Schedule:
FTE Full-time: Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
