MINIMUM AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with the State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Supervises a crew of skilled and semi-skilled Trades Specialists involved in all types of maintenance activities preserving all features of interstate 26 in Newberry County. This includes
vegetation management, patching, minor guardrail repair, litter pick up, shoulder and drainage
maintenance. Supervises same crew in performance of multipurpose crew duties on roads other
than Interstate 26 on as-needed basis to maintain work request accomplishment goals.
Maintains weekly and monthly reports, maps, time sheets, and cost records; recommends
personnel actions including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions; rates employees
annually as per EPMS. Keeps constant check of servicing and maintenance of crew equipment to
ensure good working order. Responsible for daily log and all inspection sheets from crew
member. Performs other related duties as required including on rotation stand-by one week of
seven, and any emergencies or adverse weather conditions which may require overtime or
weekend work. Other related duties as required by supervisor. Conducts routine safety meetings
with crew.
