Requirements:

A high school diploma and seven and one-half (7.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (NOTE): This position requires a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Plans, assigns, reviews disputes, and supervises the work of Mechanics who perform a variety of routine and complex repairs to both gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles. Contacts correct agencies for warranty type on new equipment. Assists mechanics and performs any necessary repairs to vehicles and equipment as needed. Ensures that the shop area is maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner. Assigns jobs to employees to perform work on various types of equipment and vehicles. Initiates the job service sheets through the "SWIPS" system. Reviews and approves the service ticket once jobs are complete, the parts and labor are posted, and the supply specialists have closed the ticket. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of employees. Assists with purchasing parts and supplies needed. Provides technical expertise in ordering parts and supplies. Checks inventories for spare parts. Completes the Daily Work Report for assigned crew. Completes the Daily Work
Report for assigned crew. Completes EPMS evaluations and time sheets. Completes
correspondence concerning equipment issues. Performs other related job duties as necessary. Maintains and repairs building, repair water lines, makes minor repairs to heating and plumbing.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
