PTC Expands Test Drive Options; Next Session July 15-16

It’s that time of year when people plan road trips to all sorts of appealing destinations. Piedmont Technical College’s newest Test Drive series ― scheduled for July 15-16 in Greenwood ― can help transport participants to the largest range of featured career destinations yet, and it’s free.

Participants are invited to take a two-day Test Drive in their choice of several concentrations, such as criminal justice, engineering technology, health care and more, before making that critical decision whether to actually enroll in a degree or certificate program.

“All participants receive an overview of programs that can give them the skills to fill in-demand jobs in our area right now,” said Josh Black, PTC vice president for student affairs and communications. “This is a no-cost, risk-free opportunity to sample Piedmont Tech’s career-focused programs, ask questions and make truly informed education decisions.”

Programs featured in this Test Drive include business administration, computer technology, early care and education, funeral service, building construction technology, HVAC, nursing, pharmacy technology and cardiovascular technology. For a full list of offerings, visit www.ptc.edu/testdrive.

The sessions run from 6-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 15-16, at the Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood. Those who complete both Test Drive sessions will receive a gift certificate worth $149 for specialized skill training in areas such as forklift, CPR and concealed weapons permit. They also will earn a $250 tuition credit should they decide to enroll at PTC.
