13 Piedmont Technical College faculty and staff members honored with awards
A total of 13 Piedmont Technical College (PTC) faculty and staff members received awards during a recent event.
The award winners included:
Innovation Awards
Innovation Team of the Year - Electric Vehicle Curriculum Team. The team consisted of Automotive Technology Program Director Gerald Sartin, Automotive Technology Instructor Bill King, Engineering and Industrial Technology Dean Christina Knight and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Keli Fewox.
Innovator of the Year – IT Applications Director Greg Potts
The Electric Vehicle Curriculum Team and Potts also have been nominated for the A. Wade Martin Innovation Team of the Year and Innovator of the Year awards. The winners of these statewide honors will be announced at the South Carolina Technical Education Association conference, which is being held next month in Myrtle Beach.

Compass Award (Part-Time Staff Advisor of the Year) – Robin Cobb

Student Choice Advisor Award – Nicole Fuller
Torchlight Award (Outstanding Advisor of the Year) – Miriam Willis
Staff Excellence Award - Trades Specialist Todd Burnett
Visionary Faculty Award - Automotive Technology Instructor Bill King
The awards were presented during the 2026 Spring Welcome Back event, which was held Jan. 8 on the Greenwood Campus.
