Donations from Piedmont Technical College employees help students achieve educational dreams
Generous donations from faculty and staff members at Piedmont Technical College are making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
“Together, we all raised $28,000 to help our students achieve their educational dreams,” said PTC Foundation Director Laura Dudley. “That is incredible.”
She highlighted how the giving has led to tangible results.
“Nine students who faced unexpected hardships that could have forced them to leave PTC were able to remain on campus after receiving support from the student emergency fund,” Dudley said. “One student who was homeless along with her child received assistance that enabled her to put down a deposit on an apartment. She is enrolled for spring semester.”
Dudley also said, “200 students and employees facing food insecurity during the fall semester found relief through the Hope Pantry.”
During the 2026 Spring Welcome Back event, Dudley also presented a certificate of appreciation from the Foundation to Information Technology administrative coordinator Jennifer Stroud and her coworkers for their bountiful contributions during a food drive that replenished the Hope Pantry.
