SHRM Essentials of HR Cert

The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources program provides a foundational overview of HR practices and behaviors. Through real-world applications and scenarios, participants will be introduced to fundamental HR issues to help effectively navigate the challenging and everyday situations faced in the workplace. The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources is the first introductory level HR program to provide insight into the standards for knowledge, strategies and competencies required of effective HR professionals around the world. This introductory program will help build knowledge and understanding of six key HR topics, and will provide tools that can put in place immediately. This Certificate Program will help build a strong HR foundation, and can set the stage for those interested in later pursuing SHRM CP or SCP certification. The 12-hour course will be facilitated in a hybrid format, with the first-class and last-class meeting being held in person at the Piedmont Technical College Greenwood campus The other 4 class meetings will occur in 2-hour virtual sessions. Class #1 - Thursday, October 30th - 9am-11am at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC Class #2 - Tuesday November 4th - 9am-11am Online (Virtual) Session Class #3 - Thursday, November 6th - 9am-11am Online (Virtual) Session Class #4 - Thursday, November 13th - 9am-11am Online (Virtual) Session Class #5 - Tuesday, November 18th - 9am-11am Online (Virtual) Session Class #6 - Thursday, November 20th - 9am-11am at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, SC In order to earn a SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Certificate, participants must successfully pass quizzes in all 6 HR topic areas, then successfully pass a "Final Exam" administered online by SHRM. All course materials are included in the registration fee. Participants enrolled in this course may qualify for SCWINS scholarship funds.
