SHRM Essentials of HR Cert

The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources program provides a foundational overview of HR practices and behaviors. Through real-world applications and scenarios, participants will be introduced to fundamental HR issues to help effectively navigate the challenging and everyday situations faced in the workplace. The SHRM Essentials of Human Resources is the first introductory level HR program to provide insight into the standards for knowledge, strategies and competencies required of effective HR professionals around the world. This introductory program will help build knowledge and understanding of six key HR topics, and will provide tools that can be put in place immediately. This Certificate Program will help build a strong HR foundation, and can set the stage for those interested in later pursuing SHRM CP or SCP certification. The 12-hour course will be facilitated in a distance-learning format, delivered in 2-hour virtual sessions. Online registration ends 1 week prior to the first day of class. Class #1 - Thursday, June 4, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session Class #2 - Tuesday June 9, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session Class #3 - Thursday, June 11, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session Class #4 - Tuesday, June 16, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session Class #5 - Thursday, June 18, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session Class #6 - Tuesday, June 23, 2026 - 10am - 12noon Online (Virtual) Session In order to earn a SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Certificate, participants must successfully pass quizzes in all 6 HR topic areas, then successfully pass a "Final Exam" administered online by SHRM. All course materials are included in the registration fee. Participants enrolled in this course may qualify for SCWINS scholarship funds.
