MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field and 5 years work experience in Mechatronics. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching Mechatronics classes, Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

Job Description:

In this challenging role, you will support the Mechatronics department at Greenville Technical College. This position is responsible for the overall development and maintenance of the Mechatronics (MEC) curriculum. Specific duties include:

-Instruction Management: Present instruction to assigned classes in accordance with college and division policies. Identify faculty for all courses and facilitate coordination of course development and/or maintenance.

-Instructional Development: Collaborate with department head and faculty to develop and maintain a strong advisory board and integrate recommendations into program/curriculum. Provide support to the department head to develop and implement strategies to improve retention and success. Assist in course development and text book selection.

-Class Scheduling: Develop and maintain faculty teaching and advising schedules for each semester.

-Assessment: Coordinate with faculty and the MEC department head to implement institutional effectiveness activities.

-Financial Management: Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and supervise routine management of budget expenditures.

-Recruitment/Public Relations: Support recruiting activities that promote the careers available to MEC graduates. Serve on college committees and coordinate internships, apprenticeships, and service learning activities with the Experiential Learning Office as assigned.

-Facilities Management: Ensure proper security of equipment and supplies and maintain facilities in a safe, functional, and presentable condition that supports collaboration and learning.

-Other duties as assigned.
