Requirements:

High school diploma and two (2) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license.
May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends or holidays, and during inclement weather or other emergencies.
Personal computer experience.

Job Description:

Under general supervision, performs a variety of advanced secretarial duties involved in the office operation, department or unit. Operates two-way radio to communicate with field personnel to relay messages. Reviews application for vacancies and ensures that all pertinent information is provided on each application. Uses personal computer to enter work requests/complaints into the work order system Highway Maintenance Management System (HMMS). Computes payroll for Greenville Maintenance. Processes procurement activities to include serving as a credit card liaison to ensure compliance with the Department's regulations.
Processes contract items for payment to Headquarters for disbursement to the vendor.
Maintains a complex filing system. Performs other related duties as required.
